Strict inspections -- When your order is going to be manufactured by a certain Chinese company, be sure their inspection process is just as strict as in the United States, if not more so.

Also be sure this inspection and testing continues all the way down the line and on every unit so that, by the time every optical system design unit has been completed and you receive delivery of them, every unit you receive is perfect.

Can they do low volume prototyping? -- If you are ordering a new optical system design, you will want to be sure the lenses come out the way you need them to be.

This is why you will want to have prototypes manufactured and tested before you go to large volume manufacturing, and why you will want to find a company that will have no problem doing low volume prototyping for you.

After all, you do not want to have to pay for high volume prototyping only to discover the lenses that are manufactured are not what you want at all.
